As per Pulse Asia’s survey released Wednesday, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio remains the top pick for president, while Senate President Vicente Sotto III emerged as the leading bet for vice president in the 2022 national elections.
According to Pulse Asia, Duterte-Carpio is the most popular presidential candidate, with 20% of Filipino adults voting for her between September 6 and September 11, 2021.
Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos came in second with 15%, Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso came in third with 13%, and Senator Manny Pacquiao came in third with 12%.
Senator Grace Poe received 9%, Vice President Leni Robredo received 8%, and Senator Panfilo Lacson received 6%.
Sotto emerged as the clear frontrunner for the position of potential vice president, with 25 percent of Filipinos polled supporting his candidacy.
President Rodrigo Duterte came in second with 14%, followed by Moreno and Marcos with 12% each, and Pacquiao and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go with 7% each.
