PAF Recruitment Qualifications

Below are the qualifications for PAF Officer Candidate Course and Special Enlistment:

Qualifications for PAF Officer Candidate Course

Applicants for PAFOCC must meet the following criteria:

  • Male or Female natural-born/naturalized Filipino Citizen;
  • Baccalaureate degree holder (Graduate of Priority Course needed by the PAF);
  • Not less than 20 years old but not a day older than 27 years old on the date of appointment (Born between 28 December 1998 to 28 December 2005);
  • With good moral character and free from any derogatory records;
  • Single and never been married;
  • Never sired or borne a child and without legal obligation to support a child or children;
  • Must pass the Physical/Medical Examination and be granted a Physical Profile 1 (P1) by the PAF Medical Board;
  • Must have a barefoot height of not less than 152.4 cm or five (5’ft) for both male and female (Minority below the minimum height requirement must secure certification from NCIP duly signed by the Regional Director (101 ICC’s/IP’s of the Philippines).

Qualifications for Special Enlistment

Applicants for SE must meet the following criteria:

  • Male or Female natural-born/naturalized Filipino Citizen;
  • Must have completed the K to 12 basic education program or has earned at least 72 units in collegiate courses from an educational institution recognized by the government;
  • Not less than 18 years old but not a day older than 35 years old upon enlistment. (Born between 31 December 1991 to 31 December 2008);
  • With good moral character and free from any derogatory records;
  • Single and never been married;
  • Never sired or borne a child and without legal obligation to support a child or children;
  • Certified to be physically and mentally fit for active military service as determined by the PAF Medical Board;
  • Must have a barefoot height of not less than 152.4 cm or five (5’ft) for both male and female (Minority below the minimum height requirement must secure certification from NCIP duly signed by the Regional Director (101 ICC’s/IP’s of the Philippines).

Application Date

Acceptance of applications will be from April 21 to 25, 2025 at the designated processing area, along with the scheduled examination date.

How to Apply

Follow these three simple steps to apply:

Step 1: Download the Application Form

  • Or get a copy from the nearest Processing/Examination Center.

Step 2: Fill Out the Form

You can:

  • Fill it out electronically or manually (write clearly).
  • Print it before signing with a blue or black ballpen or sign pen.

Step 3: Prepare the Requirements

Submit original, photocopy, and scanned copies of:

  1. PSA-issued Birth Certificate
  2. Transcript of Records (TOR) and Form 137 (for Senior High School Graduates)
  3. Certification from School Registrar (if graduating or new graduate)
  4. Diploma
  5. Two (2) latest 2×2 ID photos, white background (original only)
  6. NCIP Certificate (for Indigenous People only, signed by the Regional Director)
  7. VALID AFPSAT IRF (for applicants who took AFPSAT in the Philippine Army or Navy) Note: AFPSAT is valid only for 3 years from the exam date.

Important Note:

Applicants who previously passed the Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) from any branch (Philippine Army or Philippine Navy) must bring their original and photocopy of the valid Individual Report Form (IRF). They will only be required to take the PAF General Classification Test (PAFGCT).

Exemption in Taking the Qualifying Exam

Licensed Criminologists are exempted from taking the examinations. To qualify for the exemption, applicants must place the documents in:

  • Blue Folder (for PAFOCC) with blue tabbings
  • Red Folder (for Special Enlistment) with blue tabbings

Required Documents (in photocopy)

  1. Fully Accomplished PAF Application Form (original)
    ○ Must be processed by the PAF Processing Center and have undergone the Limited Physical Examination.
  2. Transcript of Records and Diploma
  3. PSA-Issued Birth Certificate
  4. Criminologist Licensure Examination Rating (issued by PRC)
  5. Valid PRC ID
  6. Certification of Government Service (if applicable)
  7. Certificate of Work Experience Related to Criminology (if applicable)
  8. Certificates of Seminars/Trainings (if any)
    ○ Must be related to the practice of criminology.
    ○ Must bear the full name of the applicant.
  9. Awards/Recognitions (if any)
    ○ Must be related to the practice of criminology.
    ○ Must bear the full name of the applicant.

NOTE: Bring the original copy of submitted documents for verification purposes.
