Netizens are curious if actor Nash Aguas plans to run for public office in next year’s elections.
This comes after Aguas swore in as a new member of Cavite’s Lakas-CMD political party.
Cavite City Vice Mayor Denver Chua posted photos from the oath-taking ceremony on Facebook on Tuesday.
Aguas may presently be seen in the ABS-CBN inspired series “Huwag Kang Mangamba.” Prior to that, he appeared in “A Soldier’s Heart,” which closed in September of last year.
Aguas got his start in show business after appearing on ABS-CBN’s “Star Circle Kid Quest.” He began his career as a child star on the now-defunct kiddie show “Goin Bulilit.”
As of this writing, Aguas has yet to confirm whether or not he would run for any public office in Cavite.
Meanwhile, Vice Governor Jolo Revilla took the Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas–CMD) oath of office ahead of his run for Cavite 1st district representative.
Martin Romualdez, head of the Lakas-CMD party and House Majority Leader, presided over the oath-taking ceremony. Senator Bong Revilla, Jr. and Bacoor Mayor Lani M. Revilla were also in attendance, as were the vice governor’s parents.
Mayors who will compete for office under the party’s banner, including Rosario Mayor Voltaire Ricafrente, Noveleta Mayor Dino Chua, and Kawit Mayor Angelo Emilio Aguinaldo, also took the oath.
With current Cavite City Mayor Bernardo Paredes’ third term coming to an end, Cavite City Vice Mayor Denver Chua will compete for mayor.
