Philippine Navy AFPSAT 2023 Qualifications:

You can read below the following qualifications for NOCC, NPOTC, SBC, and Direct enlistment. or check out the complete qualifications here

Naval Officer Candidate Course (NOCC) 

  1. Natural-born Filipino citizen and of good moral character
  2. Baccalaureate Degree holder (preferably technical courses)
  3. At least 20 years old but not a day older than 25 years old on the date of application
  4. Height of not less than 5’0″ (152.4cm) for both male and female
  5. Single and never been married, never borne or sired a child
  6. Physically and mentally fit for training

Naval Probationary Officer Training Course (NPOTC)

  1. Natural-born Filipino citizen and of good moral character
  2. Single and never been married 
  3. Has never sired/borne a child and without legal obligation to support a child 
  4. At least 21 years old but not a day older than 26 years old on the date of application 
  5. Baccalaureate Degree holder (preferably technical courses);
  6. At least 5’0″ (152.4cm) but not more than 6’4″ (193.04cm) for both male and female;
  7. Must pass the special written examination
  8. Must be a graduate of NS42
  9. Physically and mentally  fit (P1) for military training 
  10. Preferred candidates-Corps Commander, Battalion Commander and Corps Staff of NROTC units

Sailor Basic Course (SBC)

  1. Natural-born Filipino citizen and of good moral character
  2. Has completed 12 years of basic education under-K12 program or has at least 72 units of a collegiate course from an educational institution recognized by the government or at least completed from technical education skills development authority (TESDA), any technical course with National Certificate (NCII)
  3. Not less than 18 years old but not a day older than 24 years on the date of application
  4. Height of not less than 5’0″ (152.4cm)  for both male and female
  5. Single and never been married or sired a child 
  6. Physically and mentally fit for training

Direct Enlistment

  1. Natural-born Filipino citizen and of good moral character
  2. Is not younger than 18 years old and not a day older than 24 years old on the date of application. No age waiver will be granted for the purpose of special or direct enlistment in the Philippine Navy (PN)
  3. Has never sired / borne a child and without legal obligation to support a child 
  4. At least 5’0″ (152.4cm) but not more than 6’4″ (193.04cm) for both male and female
  5. Must have completed the Summer Shipboard Training (NS 43)
  6. Single and never been married 
  7. Physically and mentally fit for training (P1) for military service

Naval Probationary Officer Training Course (NPOTC)

  1. Original and photocopy of Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Birth certificate
  2. Original and photocopy of Transcript of Records (TOR)
  3. Original and photocopy of College diploma 
  4. 2X2 colored ID picture with white background 
  5. Certification of Advance Reserve Officer Training Course (ROTC) Graduate/NS42

AFPSAT Coverage 2023

Philippine Navy AFPSAT 2023 has three subtests which are the following:

  • Abstract Reasoning– a nonverbal, non-numerical measure of reasoning power. It measures the ability to see the relationships among things- objects, patterns, or designs rather than among words and numbers. 50 items for 12 minutes.
  • Verbal Reasoning– measures the ability to reason and solve problems through the concept of words by comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary recognition. 65 items for 30 minutes.
  • Numerical Reasoning– measures the ability to reason and solve problems with numbers, and other mathematical concepts. 35 items for 35 minutes.
