Minimum Qualification Standards for Fire Officer I

To qualify for the Fire Officer I (FO1) position, you must meet the following:

  • A natural-born Filipino citizen
  • A person of good moral character
  • Must be a Bachelor’s Degree holder
  • Must possess a Second Level Eligibility
  • Must be at least 21 years old but not more than 30 years old on the date of Appointment, Assumption to Duty, and Oath of Office
    • Applicants aged 31 to 35 must secure an age waiver
  • Must be at least 1.57 meters or 5’2” in height for males and 1.52 meters or 5’0” in height for females
    • Those who fall below the height requirement must secure a height waiver
  • Must not weigh more or less than 5 kilograms from the standard weight based on height, age, and gender
  • Must have passed the Neuro-Psychiatric Evaluation, Medical Examination, and Drug Test to determine his/her Physical and Mental Health
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged or dismissed for just cause from previous employment
  • Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or a crime involving moral turpitude

For Initial Medical Screening, prepare the following:

  • SEALED ECG result with reading from cardiologist or internist;
  • Serum pregnancy test result for female applicants; and
  • Printed scanned photocopy (A4 bondpaper) and Original Copy of Clear Digital Dental Panoramic Xray.

BFP Fire Officer I Salary

The monthly base pay of a Fire Officer I at the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is ₱31,151.
