Job Description

Individuals and Societies Teacher Job Vacancies

The Individuals and Societies Teacher will teach students about history, geography, and other social studies subjects. They will create lessons, teach students, and evaluate their understanding. The goal is to help students learn about different cultures and societies.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing effective lesson plans and delivering them in accordance with programme standards set forth for the assigned subject
  • Designing and administering assessments that meet reliability and validity criteria as per student learning outcomes
  • Adhering to academic policies set forth by Fairview management.
  • Collaborating meaningfully with programme coordinators, campus leaders, the global head of department, and a team of subject teachers within Fairview in order to ensure academic excellence for the specific subject in relation to curriculum design, instruction, and assessment.
  • Participating fully in the professional development of academic staff.
  • Participating in campus-wide activities and other ad-hoc duties as assigned by campus heads from time to time.

Qualifications of Individuals and Societies Teacher

Candidates must meet specific qualifications to be considered for the Individuals and Societies Teacher position.

  • Gender: Any   
  • Age: minimum of 25 years old
  • A relevant degree in Geography, Humanities, World History, Economics or Business Studies
  • At least three (3) years of relevant teaching experience in the Education Industry, particularly in International Schools, with IB knowledge will be an added advantage.
