Cabin Crew

Cabin crew members are responsible for ensuring passengers’ safety, comfort, and satisfaction aboard flights.

The following are their Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting pre-flight safety checks and ensuring the aircraft is clean and tidy.
  • Informing passengers of the aircraft safety procedures and ensuring that all hand luggage is securely stored away.
  • Checking all seat belts and galleys are secure prior to take-off.
  • Making announcements on behalf of the pilot and answering passenger questions during the flight.
  • Serving meals and refreshments to passengers.
  • Selling duty-free goods and advising passengers of any allowance restrictions in force at their destination
  • Ensuring passengers disembark safely at the end of a flight and checking that there is no luggage left in the overhead lockers and no stowaways or suspicious items on board.

General Qualifications

Salary of Cabin Crew

According to Emirates Group Career Website, your compensation package consists of three elements: a fixed monthly base pay, hourly compensation for flight hours, and an allowance for meals when abroad.

The breakdown is as follows: a monthly base pay of AED 4,430 (equivalent to Php70,580.43), with an hourly flying rate of AED 63.75 (equivalent to Php1,004), assuming an average of 80-100 flying hours per month.

This structure results in an estimated total monthly compensation of AED 10,170 (equivalent to approximately Php160,229) for Grade II (Economy Class) positions.

Additionally, allowances for meals during overnight stays are added to the next month’s salary. The company also ensures that all employees have hotel accommodations and transportation between the hotel and airport covered.

Step 1: Comply with the Requirements of a Cabin Crew

You must comply with the following requirements for you to be able to complete the registration.

A. Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • The minimum height requirement is from 157.5 cm to 160 cm, depending on the airline.
  • Minimum arm reach is from 210 cm to 212 cm on tiptoe, depending on the airline.
  • Weight should be proportionate to height.
  • The minimum age requirement is 21 years old.
  • Braces are allowed during the initial screening. However, you will be asked to remove it should you be shortlisted for assessment and on the final interview.
  • Applicants must have a good set of teeth. Dentures may be allowed, provided they are in good condition and fit properly.
  • 20/20 vision is required for Flight Attendants. You may, however, wear clear contact lenses to achieve this vision acuity.

B. Required Documents:

Prepare the following documents for the application:

  3. One (1) whole-body picture – wearing business attire on a light blue background taken as professionally as possible or by a professional photographer (if you have a chance to do so).
    • FEMALE:
      • Corporate coat over blouse & knee-level skirt/hair tied and pulled away from the face.
      • Wear light make-up and no false eyelashes.
      • Do not wear body make-up on your legs or a pair of stockings.
      • The picture should not be enhanced (do not use Photoshop, filters, or any beautifier app).
    • MALE:
      • A long-sleeved shirt with a necktie, with or without a corporate coat.
  4. One (1) piece passport-size photograph (in light blue background).
  5. Colored passport copy valid for at least two (2) years from the time of recruitment.
  6. Highest educational credentials (college diploma and TOR or high school diploma and form 137).
  7. Valid NBI clearance
  8. Certificates of Employment

  • If you still need a PEOS Certificate ID, you can obtain one from https://peos.dmw.gov.ph/
  • Make sure to Fill in the PEOS Certificate ID section in the form.

Step 4: Download and Fill Evaluation Form: 

  • Click here to Download the Cabin Crew Evaluation Form, fill it out, and then upload it on your registration form.

Step 5: Complete Registration: 

  • After filling out the form, click the “Register” button.

Note:

  • If you encounter any issues during registration: If you’ve registered before with the same email, log in and click “forgot password” to reset it.
  • If problems persist, email support@ipams.com with a screenshot of the issue, and they’ll assist you.

Step 6: Wait for the Initial screening: 

  • Once you’ve completed the registration and submitted your application, an IPAMS recruitment officer will notify you via e-mail, SMS, or telephone call to further screen and evaluate you if you are one of the potential candidates.

Step 8: Wait for the Final Interview with the Employer:

  • Once you’ve passed the initial screening, you will be notified by an IPAMS recruitment officer via e-mail, SMS, or telephone call if shortlisted for the final interview If you are one of the potential candidates.
