Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain order and safety in the swimming pool and surrounding areas.
- Perform essential lifeguard duties, ensuring the safety of all pool users at any time.
- Take charge of group swimming classes from beginning to end; talking to participants about their needs, desires, and fears, and designing training programs based on clients’ levels.

- Attends In-Service Training and staff meetings with the Fitness Manager, Club Manager, and other management team members as requested.
- Knows and enforces emergency procedures and safety regulations on the pool and wet area.
- Assists in maintaining chemical balance, Tests pool chemicals, and reports on a daily basis.
- Knows and enforces all rules of sanitation and care of the pool as required by company policy.
- Provides assistance to members, providing information about rules and programs in a helpful and positive manner.
- Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe areas.
- Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid.
- Monitor and maintain chemical levels in the pool for water quality. Including administering correct chemical doses as needed.
- Conduct daily cleaning and vacuuming of the pool.
- Monitors hot and cold jacuzzies and reports about their functionalities and once they need maintenance.
- Daily checkup for sauna and steam rooms and report once they need maintenance.
- Helps and supports in time of competitions and events in the swimming pool area.
- Announce to members and encourage them to participate in competitions and events in swimming and other programs offered by the company.
- Supports and launches new classes in the pool area as per the management instructions.
- On own responsibility, practice swimming regularly to keep a good swim fitness
- Regular swim and lifeguarding tests will be carried out where approved results are required
Qualifications
