About the OCC
The Officer Candidate Course is a one-year program for bachelor’s degree holders who want to become Commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Philippine Army.
It trains them to lead and serve the country.
Scope of Training Program
This course has three (3) primary programs, namely:
- Basic Military Training
- Officer Training; and
- Army Warfighting Functions Training is subdivided into seven (7) modules and two (2) additional modules.
Training Duration
The training will take one (1) year and consist of 2,008 periods, which is equivalent to an average of 50 training weeks.
It aims to provide progressive, well-rounded, and balanced training that shall equip Cadets and Officer Candidates with the knowledge, skills, and attributes required prior to their commission.
This course will meet the demand for producing world-class Army Officers.

Requirements
Here are the following requirements you need to join the Officer Candidate Course:
- College Diploma
- Transcript of Record
- PSA Birth Certificate
- Valid ID
Qualifications
You must meet the following qualifications when joining the Officer Candidate Course training program.
- Baccalaureate degree holders
- Natural-born Filipino Citizen
- Single with no parental obligation
- At least 5 feet tall (both male & female)
- Physically & mentally fit
- At least 21 years old but not a day older than 27 years old upon oath-taking
- No pending cases in any court
Application Process

- Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT): Take a standardized test to assess your skills and eligibility.
