1. The member should be an employed, self-employed, or voluntary paying member who has made a minimum of 120 monthly contributions before the semester of their retirement. 

  • In addition, they should have reached the age of 60 years and either separated from employment ceased to be self-employed or stopped paying voluntary contributions. 
  • Alternatively, if they are still employed/self-employed, they should have reached the age of 65. 

2. If the member is an underground mineworker, they should have made a minimum of 120 monthly contributions before the semester of their retirement. 

  • They should be at least 55 years old and either separated from employment, ceased to be self-employed, or stopped paying voluntary contributions. 
  • Alternatively, if they are still employed/self-employed, they should be 60 years old. 

To qualify under this condition, the member must have been an underground mineworker for at least five years before the semester of their retirement, either continuously or accumulated. 

However, their actual retirement date should not be earlier than March 13, 1998, and the ER/s must be duly registered with the Bureau of Mines as a mining company.

Requirements for Filling the SSS Pension

To apply for the SSS pension benefit, applicants must provide several documents to confirm their eligibility and identity. 

Applicants must submit the following documents when filing for an

SSS pension:

1) A completed Pension Application Form

2) An original birth certificate

3) Proof of citizenship

4) Valid IDs

5) Employment records

6) Bank account details

7) Tax identification number

8) Medical Certificate

9) Marriage contract/divorce decree

10) Death certificate of spouse (if applicable).

Complete and Submit Your SSS Pension Application Form

You’ll need to complete and submit your SSS Pension

Application Form E-6 along with all other necessary documents such as proof of identity, proof of membership in the SSS program, and any supporting evidence related to your claim.

Once this paperwork has been completed and submitted, you can proceed with filling out your application online via My.SSS portal. 

Here you will enter all relevant information including primary contact details and bank account information if applicable.

Lastly, after submitting your application online through My.SSS portal makes sure to keep track of its progress using its tracking system so that you know when it has been approved or denied by the agency handling pensions in the Philippines.
