Here are the following general qualifications for PNP Patrolman/Patrolwoman recruitment:

A citizen of the Philippines;
A person of good moral character;
Physically and Mentally fit;
Must possess a formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized learning institution;
Must possess ANY of the following eligibilities:
- NAPOLCOM PNP Entrance Examination
- Civil Service Professional Examination
- R.A. No. 1080 (Bar and Board Passers of Baccalaureate Degree)
- R.A. No. 6506 (Licensed Criminologists)
- P.D. No. 907 (Granting Civil Service Eligibility to College Honor Graduates);
Must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government;
Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
Must be at least 5’2″ (157 cm) for male and 5’0″ (152.4 cm) for female.
Must weigh not more or less than five kilograms (5 kg) from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex; and
Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age.
