The Philippine National Police (PNP) is scheduled to hire 434 specialists from diverse professions after receiving approval from the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM).
Professionals like as lawyers, surgeons, and IT experts, among others, are recruited into the PNP through lateral entry for the posts of Police Captain and Police Lieutenant, according to Resolution No. 2021-0612.
PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar praised the initiative, saying it will help the organization achieve additional goals.
The additional medical officers will assist in tackling the pandemic’s threats, while the new lawyers will assist in our criminality campaign and operation.
Meanwhile, IT specialists can assist us with the required adjustments so that we can follow the new normal trend. They can also help with the removal of numerous cybercrime risks.
The recruiting is part of the PNP Lateral Entry Program, whose purpose is to “improve the human resource and technical capabilities of the police force,” according to the PNP.
