The Government Service Insurance System (Filipino: Paseguruhan ng mga Naglilingkod sa Pamahalaan, abbreviated as GSIS) is a government-owned and controlled corporation (GOCC) of the Philippines.

GSIS is a social insurance institution that provides a defined benefit scheme under the law. It insures its members against the occurrence of certain contingencies in exchange for their monthly premium contributions.

The GSIS is mandated to provide and administer the following social security benefits for government employees: compulsory life insurance, optional life insurance, retirement benefits, disability benefits for work-related contingencies and death benefits.

Research, Innovation and Strategic Advisory (Office of the Executive Vice President & Controller Group)

Staff Assistant (SG 9 – 11) – 2 positions

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree
  • Training : None required
  • Experience : None required
  • Eligibility : Career Service Sub-Professional or any appropriate eligibility for first level position
  • Basic Function : Provides variety of clerical support related activities by following specific processes and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the Investment Processing and Monitoring Department.

Staff Officer I (SG 12-15) – 4 positions

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
  • Training : 8 hours relevant training
  • Experience : One (1) year of relevant experience
  • Eligibility : Career Service Professional or any appropriate eligibility for second level position
  • Basic Function : Provides support services such as routine tasks within established procedures to maximize the efficiencies/implementation on the confirmation of trades from counterparties, process and settle investment and loan transactions.

Staff Officer II (SG 16-18) – 4 positions

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
  • Training : 16 hours relevant training
  • Experience : Two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Eligibility : Career Service Professional or any appropriate eligibility for second level position
  • Basic Function : Provides various support activities to the executive concerned by identifying, enhancing and following specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the business to which the support is being provided; ensures the correct functioning of facilities,office and/or business support.

  • Basic Function : Provides variety of clerical support related activities by following specific processes and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the computer system processes related to Active Directory, Windows Servers and e-Mail System.

Staff Officer I (SG 12-15) – 2 positions

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
  • Training : 8 hours relevant training
  • Experience : One (1) year of relevant experience
  • Eligibility : Career Service Professional or any appropriate eligibility for second level position
  • Basic Function : Provides support services such as routine tasks within established procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the Data Center Operations on a 24 hours x 7 days operational requirements.

Staff Officer II (SG 16-18) – 3 positions

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
  • Training : 16 hours relevant training
  • Experience : Two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Eligibility : Career Service Professional or any appropriate eligibility for second level position
  • Basic Function : Provides support services such as tasks that involve specific skills in a work process within established procedures and by acting as informal resource for colleagues with less experience to maximize the efficiencies/implementation of computer system processes related to Active Directory, Windows Servers and e-Mail System.

Staff Officer III (SG 19-20)

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
  • Training : 24 hours relevant training
  • Experience : Three (3) years relevant experience
  • Eligibility : Career Service Professional or any appropriate eligibility for second level position
  • Basic Function : Provides support services such as tasks that involve expertise in a work process to maximize the efficiencies/implementation/conduct of daily operation and management of computer system processes related to Mid Range Systems

Officer I (SG 21-23)

  • Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Management or in a related field preferably with Master’s degree in Information Management, Technology Management, Computer Science, Business, Law, Management or in a related field
  • Training : 32 hours relevant training
  • Experience : Four (4) years relevant experience
  • Eligibility : CS Professional or any appropriate eligibility for second level position
  • Basic Function : Provides technical support such as performing tasks that involve basic skills in an operational process; works within defined standard operating procedures and adheres to quality guidelines to maximize the efficiencies/implementation of Database Operations-SAP Basis.

2017 Omnibus Rules on Appointment and Other Human Resource Actions (Revised
July 2018) only requires at least ten (10) calendar days publication of vacant
positions for Government-Owned or Controlled Corporation. Hence, the screening may commence once the 10 calendar days publication requirement is met.

The publication of a particular vacant position shall be valid until filled but not to extend beyond nine (9) months reckoned from the date the vacant position was
published (Rule VII Sec. 29 of the 2017 ORA-OHRA, Revised July 2018).

  1. Application letter indicating the position being applied for, item number and name of the department/office where the vacancy is.
  2. Properly accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS) with recent passport size picture and Work Experience Sheet (WES) and Authorization for Background Check Form.
  3. Photocopy of authenticated certificate of eligibility/rating/license.
  4. Photocopy of authenticated Transcript of Records.
  5. For applicants currently in the government service, performance rating in the last rating period is required.
