Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is the Philippine national institution dedicated to provide flood and typhoon warnings, public weather forecasts and advisories, meteorological, astronomical, climatological, and other specialized information and services primarily for the protection of life and property and in support of economic, productivity and sustainable development.

Interestingly, PAGASA has posted 60 Available Positions until May 15, 2022.

(6) Weather Observer I (SG9/Php 20,402)

  • Eligibility : None required (CSC MC No. 11, s. 1996 – Cat. III)
  • Education : Completion of 2 years studies (72 units in a single course) in college
  • Training : Meteorological Technicians Training Course (MTTC) or its equivalent course; None, if holder of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Natural Science courses
  • Work Experience : None required

(2) Weather Facilities Technician I (SG9/Php 20,402)

  • Eligibility : None required (CSC MC No. 11, s. 1996 – Cat. III)
  • Education : Completion of 2 years studies (72 units in a single course) in college or Diploma course
