During his regular press briefing on Monday, September 6, Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque revealed that the Philippine government had officially started the pilot run of the VaxCertPH portal for the issue of digital COVID-19 vaccination certificates in the country.
The initial phase of the VaxCertPH implementation would prioritize requests from OFWs and Filipinos travelling from the Philippines for overseas travel with a residency in the NCR or Baguio City.
Based on the recommendations of the VaxCertPH Sub-TWG to the IATF, the VaxCertPH will be available to the general public and used for additional purposes at a later time.
The DICT is directed to guarantee that private entities have access to the public key in order to provide a method for checking the authenticity of vaccination certificates purportedly obtained via VaxCertPH.
Individuals who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can obtain their digital vaccination certificates via the VaxCertPH portal at https://vaxcert.doh.gov.ph/.
