President Rodrigo Duterte has already approved the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases for the period August 1 to August 15, 2021. The new classification has already been declared for the whole Philippines, in response to the public’s concern about the Delta form of COVID-19, which has already been detected in the country.
Furthermore, from August 1 to August 15, Iloilo City and Iloilo Province in Region 6, as well as Cagayan de Oro City, will keep their ECQ status, while Gingoog City in Region 10 will do so until August 7.
